For the first time, MND Australia has developed an important resource for people living with MND that steps through what to expect with end of life care. Our brief was to work together with MND Australia to create this resource to improve its design and functionality so it’s as easy to use as possible. It was important to be sensitive to keeping the reality of the situation of dealing with end of life up front, but also being supportive and friendly. We approached this through the use of illustrations and strong colours to help divide up the often confronting information. The guide was formally launched at Parliament House and the feedback from patients and their families has been extremely positive.
