The town of Kapunda has a rich history of copper mining Cornish migrants who brought their folklore stories of Piskies - the shy Cornish equivalent of a pixie, described as ‘sometimes naughty, sometimes nice, but seldom seen’.
We were commissioned by Light Regional Council to design and illustrate a set of fun and endearing Pisky characters, accompanying map and colouring in sheets that formed part of an interactive tourist trail. The projects aim was to boost the local business and tourism economy.
